Formula E is a motorsport championship that uses only electric cars. The series was conceived in 2011, and the inaugural championship commenced in Beijing in September 2014. It is sanctioned by the FIA. Alejandro Agag is the founder and current chairman of Formula E Holdings. Overview The Formula E championship is currently contested by eleven teams with two drivers each.[7] The quickly growing sport features electric-powered race cars similar in style to the hybrid-drive cars of Formula One. Racing takes place on temporary city-centre street circuits which are 1.9 to 3.4 km (1.2 to 2.1 mi) long.[8] Race day format All events begin with two practice sessions in the morning, an opening 45-minute session followed by a further 30-minute session. Drivers originally had two cars at their disposal though this was eventually revised to just one vehicle after the introduction of the Gen2 car for the 2018–19 season, with 250 kW (335bhp) of power available throughout, 25 kW more than the Spark-Renault SRT_01E. The qualifying session takes place later in the day and lasts approximately one hour. The drivers are divided into four groups of five or six, with each group having six minutes to set their best lap. Full power of 250 kW is available throughout. Since the second season, the six fastest drivers then go out again, one by one, in the Super Pole shoot-out to determine the top six grid positions. The race itself is set to 45 minutes plus one lap. Until season four, drivers made one mandatory pit stop to change cars. The two pit crew helped the driver to change seat belts and, for safety reasons, there was a minimum required time for pit stops which differed from track to track (except for the last 10 races of season four). Tyre changes, unless caused by a puncture or damage, were not permitted during the pit stop. It is normally unnecessary due to the tyres being all-weather tyre sets. In race mode the maximum power is restricted to 200 kW (268 bhp)....

Available in Dual Cab, Single Cab, Wagon and Troop Carrier configurations we replace the diesel engine and gearbox from the standard 70 series Toyota Landcruiser before re-engineering the vehicle for Australian Design Rules compliance. An electric motor and ZERO’s proprietary driveline adapters and battery modules are integrated into the vehicle. The result is a product with torque figures exceeding that of a twin turbo diesel V8. Increased chassis rigidity, lower maintenance costs as well as easy integration of vehicle tracking and geofencing are all possible with the ZED70. Seamless Regenerative Braking (SRB) is also a key feature of the ZED70 product. The ZED70 has zero emissions, making it safe to use underground, in tunnels and other enclosed spaces, where diesel fumes create serious health risks. As well as being safer for mine personnel, the ZED70 substantially reduces maintenance costs. An electric motor contains one moving part, compared to hundreds in a diesel engine. This makes the motor itself almost maintenance-free. ZED70 vehicles have single fill options for differential and transfer case, effectively eliminating normal servicing apart from lubrication of steering components and the checking of wheel bearings. ZERO Automotive can provide through-life support for the ZED70, including scheduled maintenance of motors and ancillary components, batteries and charging systems. Projected lifespan for the driveline in highway use is in excess of one million kilometres, while batteries can withstand thousands of discharge cycles. In harsh, corrosive environments, the rugged protective casings, coatings and seals protect the components within, and with regular scheduled cleaning and maintenance can be expected to last for decades depending on the applicaton. Of course, a fleet of zero-emissions vehicles significantly reduces the carbon footprint of a mine operation, especially when coupled with solar and wind generation for the battery recharging hub. The reduction in fuel costs is a further significant benefit, compared to an internal combustion engine. All ZED70 units are future-ready, with the capacity to work with autonomous vehicle technology as it comes online. The control systems can be programmed to link into GPS and site-specific location services, enabling either full autonomy or safety override functions to avoid collisions. Vehicle health monitoring including battery status and fault indication can be communicated to headquarters in above ground applications and we are currently exploring similar technology for underground applications. Electric power steering, air conditioning, heating and ancilliaries are all included in the ZED70 The ZERO ZED70 kit is a turn-key solution to the problems of today that is ready for the opportunities of tomorrow....
